November 14: A Dress for You

For so many years, mom has never worn our clothes – it’s impossible! Mom is almost 5’7“ and the tallest of the three of us is less than 5’6”, so how could she wear them? But now that the two girls are taller than me, I can wear their clothes.
That said, I rarely wear their clothes. It’s not a matter of size, it’s a matter of style. The two generations have completely different aesthetics and preferences, and their clothes just don’t look right on me. Or rather, it’s not that other people look out of place, it’s that I feel out of place, and I can’t get over that hurdle in my own heart. Therefore, the day before yesterday, the boss brought me a piece of her clothes, gave me to wear, I said thank you, in the heart in the end hesitation, refused to get on.

There is a reason why the boss gave me the clothes: we are back to school and I have to go four days a week. The first thing I did when I got home was to change in the laundry room. My clothes are all cardigans, pullovers and only sweaters. It’s too early to wear a sweater in the next two days, so I nagged Lao-san to order me two pullover jackets, which would be easier to wear and warmer than cardigans. However, the clothes ordered will not come until a few days later, the eldest heard, and took a piece of her clothes to send me to wear: especially wide, oatmeal color, was originally a simple design, only the chest of a Nike black logo. She was too plain, no, it was the simplicity of the design that she just fell in love with, because she could add more things herself. She drew two round radishes on the back, one large and one small, topped with large bright green leaves. This dress, after she redesigned it, she never even wore it herself.

I liked the radishes, but I wondered if they would be warm if I wore them on my own, since they were so loose.

She laughed, “It’s warm. It’s wide enough to put many layers underneath. You’ll be wearing it at home anyway, so what’s there to be afraid of?”

That’s true.

When I tried it on yesterday, I didn’t expect it to be really warm! And comfortable! Loved it right away. Wore it again today. It’s on right now and even my palms are warm. It seems that my worries about not being warm when I used to see them wearing those wide and empty clothes were redundant. So, you have to try everything for yourself to understand.

In the past, they used to go through my closet to wear their clothes. It looks like in the future, I’ll get to pick their clothes too. It’s a fun interaction, kind of secretly exciting

You guys look at the pictures, do you like them? At the very least, the radish painting is pretty similar, right? 🙂
